CEO Update: August 2018

Hello everyone, I just wanted to give everyone an update on how we're doing, and where we're headed in the near future.

First, I want to personally thank all our Volunteers for their dedication and service. You work so hard helping us to provide all we do for our Soldiers, Veterans, and their families, and this would not be possible without your devotion to our mission.

Update on the Buildings:

Operation Phantom Support has completed the purchase of our building, and as of 25 July 2018 we are now the owners of 315, 317 C Ave, 401 N. 8th street, and 310 B Ave. This means we have plenty of space to continue our Mission, and our future.

So, thank you to all who donated to the effort, helping us raise the funds to make this possible. We will be doing a lot of building improvement throughout the rest of this year so please pay attention to our Facebook page for the newest updates!

Program News:

Nancy Miller Food Pantry:

Below is a chart that details the amount of Soldiers, Veterans, and their family members we have served for the month of August. This was made possible by your generous donations, and by all our Volunteers who have dedicated their Thursdays and Saturdays to assisting us during Pantry Day.

Operation Re-Supply 2018

This year's Re-Supply, we gave out a tremendous number of backpack and school supplies. Over $9,000 was donated and collected to provide the backpack and supplies this year, and we were able to serve over 500 children of active duty service members and veterans.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated, and would like to take a moment to thank you for helping us make this possible. Whether you donated backpacks, school supplies, or your time, your hard work and dedication to our Mission is appreciated – we couldn't do it without you!

SGT Leevon Ritter Resale Store

So far from January through the month of July, our Re-Sale store has raised $38,950.50. The money raised in our Re-Sale store offsets our administrative costs for the Non-Profit, which means we don't have to use our donation funds to pay our bills. This allows us to put every cent you donate straight back into our community.

If you have any items you'd like to donate, please bring them here! Our store operates on a donation-basis, and we accept Gently Used household items.

Re-Sale Store Hours are:

Weds 12-4

Thurs 10-2

Fri 12-4

Sat 10-2

Address 401 N.8th Street, Killeen TX 76541

Operation Phantom Cakes

So far this year, Phantom Cakes has provided 210 Birthday Cakes, 15 Unit Cakes, and 2 Baby Shower Cakes.

All of our Bakers are Volunteers. Pretty awesome, right? Without their support, or the donations we receive for the program, we would not be able to provide as many cakes as we do. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, and everyone who continues to donate to this program! You have definitely brightened MANY birthday children's special days.

Website and Social Media

Over the past few months, we've made some major changes to our website, and have been working on enhancing our social media platforms. Oliver Januszka has been leading our digital presence in this new direction, and we could not be happier to have him on board. He is one of our newest employees, and we are excited to have him on the team!

News and Updates

Recently, we've made some changes to our assistance/programs. As we grow, we are now changing the way our programs function. If you are a Phantom Corps Donor, you now get priority over non-donors for all of our programs. You must be current on your donations, and if you are, you get priority for all of our First Come, First Serve programs, including:

Operation Re-Supply

Toys for Troops

Phantom Cakes

If you are not signed up as a Phantom Corps Donor, you can still apply for assistance! But, understand that if a Phantom Corps Donor submits a request as well, they will get priority. For more information on what our Phantom Corps is and how to become a member, please visit the Phantom Corps page HERE.

Final Words, our CEO Thank You!

To our Volunteers, you are without a doubt fabulous, and we could not do all of what we do without you. I also want personally to thank all our current Phantom Corps donors for your support, Finally I want to personally say thank you to the following Local Companies that support OPS. They are:

John Reider Properties

Jim Wright Company

Cybertex Institute of Technology

Rudy’s Country Store & BBQ

These companies have invested in our mission and if you can support them, we would appreciate that support.

And finally, I want to give my biggest thank you to our own Nancy Miller. Her support has never wavered, and her love and dedication to our Soldiers and Veterans is awe inspiring to all that she connects with. You’re the best Nancy, and we wouldn’t be where we are without you!
